Corporate Profile

Veterinary Transplant Services, Inc. is the world’s leading provider of bone, soft tissue and cornea allografts for transplantation into animals. With a particular focus on contributing to the advancement of medicine and improving the quality of pets’ lives, the Company strives to respond to the needs within the veterinary community.

With a core competency in human cell and tissue banking and adhering to the highest ethical standards, we have focused our efforts on creating an animal tissue bank to fulfill unmet clinical needs of animal patients, veterinarians, veterinary hospitals and research and teaching universities worldwide. We are also a custom processing facility for innovative companies in need of animal cell or tissue grafts for pre-clinical trials. In addition to musculoskeletal and ocular tissues, our staff has experience in processing and preserving a wide variety of cells and tissues, these include: skin grafts, heart valves, bone marrow, cartilage, cord blood, amnion, and pancreatic islets.

Since its formation in 1996, VTS has become well-known for supplying aseptically processed allograft tissues, providing over 20,000 grafts for its clients. Our musculoskeletal grafts are commonly used in fracture repairs, spinal fusions, void filling caused by trauma or degenerative processes, and limb spare procedures to replace cancerous tissue. Use of allograft tissues processed by VTS can reduce patient morbidity, operative time, and costs. We strive to keep our costs reasonable in order to make allografts accessible for all patients who need transplant grafts.

The Company routinely carries species-specific transplant quality bone grafts (frozen or freeze-dried Osteo-Allograft) and corneal grafts for use in dog and cat patients. We also make custom designed grafts for specific surgical needs upon request. Processed cells or tissue for other animal species (such as, goat, pig, sheep, monkey, rat, rabbit, etc.) is also done on a custom request basis.
